#GivingTuesday is a global generosity movement unleashing the power of people and organizations to transform their communities and the world. Giving Tuesday was created in 2012 as a simple idea: a day that encourages people to do good. Over the past several years, it has grown into a global movement that inspires hundreds of millions of people to give, collaborate, and celebrate generosity.

In October, DASACC experienced a fire in one of our buildings. All clients and staff in the building were evacuated and are safe. However, there was significant damage to the building and it is usable at the present time.

 

 Every dollar raised will go toward ____. Any amount helps - whether it is $5 or $500.

How You Can Make a Difference this Giving Tuesday:

  1.  If you have the means to, please consider donating to the campaign above.

  2. Start a Facebook Fundraiser! Here are the steps on how to create your own Facebook Fundraiser:​​​​​

    • Login to Facebook and click here​.

    • Fill in your fundraising goal and select a deadline (1-2 weeks is typically recommended).

    • Choose a fundraiser title. For example, "Join me in supporting DASACC on Giving Tuesday"

    • Share why you are supporting DASACC. Some ways you can explain this include: "Supporting safety for all members of the family is important to me because..." or "Ending domestic violence is an important issue for me because..."

  3. Fundraise via your own Instagram story! Here are the steps on how to create your own Instagram Fundraiser:​​​​

    • Login to your Instagram account from your mobile device and select the white plus button in the top left corner of your profile. Select "story."

    • Select an image to post.

    • Add a donation sticker to your post by selecting the sticker button. This will look like a smiling square shape toward the top of your screen.

    • Add the donation button and select @dasaccwc as the receiving nonprofit.

    • Edit the donation sticker title to something like, "Help Support DASACC" or "Support DASACC's Giving Tuesday Campaign." You can also add additional text before sharing.

  4. Spread the word! Platforms such as Facebook use algorithms to display who sees what content. By simply liking, sharing, or commenting on our posts, you are increasing the likelihood that others will see our posts, including those who may not have previously been familiar with our agency. You can also spread the word through email, text, or phone/Zoom calls!
